Meet Our
Masters

In 2005, Master Shin left South Korea to train in the United States with Master Woo Sup Kim, a three-time Korean National Champion and the captain of the 2012 United States Olympic Tae Kwon Do team. As the Program Director and instructor for Master Kim’s four schools, Master Shin helped his students develop their skills, which enabled them to compete in tournaments, both at the national and international level. In 2008, he was selected to be the Head Master at Tiger Kim’s flagship school in Clemmons, NC, which, under his leadership, grew to be Tiger Kim’s largest training center.
He currently holds a 5th Degree Black Belt from the World Tae Kwon Do Federation (WTF), is a Kukkiwon Certified Tae Kwon Do Master Instructor and is a certified Tae Kwon Do Referee. He is also a standing member of the Korea Tae Kwon Do Association (KTA) and is certified in First Aid and CPR.

He began his teaching career at K’Han in Asheboro, N.C., instructing students in the art of Tae Kwon Do at the same school at which he was trained. During his tenure at K’Han, Master Chong was a student, instructor, program director, and Head Master. He is also a highly experienced coach on the state and national level.
Master Chong is a fifth-degree black belt and is a Member of American Tae Kwon Do Union Committee.
